Refunds and cancellations
This policy applies to open courses and workshops delivered by Cedarfield Chemical Engineering School Ltd at our London campus. It does not cover goods retail or software subscriptions because we do not sell those.
Eligibility
Refunds apply to course fees and deposits paid for a confirmed place. Employer-invoiced places follow the same timetable unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.
Timeframes
- Cancellation 21 or more days before the first session: full refund of fees paid, minus any non-refundable materials charge disclosed at booking
- Cancellation 8–20 days before: 50% refund of the course fee; deposit may be retained
- Cancellation 7 days or fewer, or after the course starts: no refund of the course fee, except where we cancel the course
Full and partial refunds
If we cancel a cohort because of faculty illness, laboratory failure, or insufficient enrolment, you may choose a full refund or a free transfer to the next equivalent intake. Partial refunds follow the timetable above when you cancel within the stated windows.
Non-refundable items
Personal PPE you asked us to order beyond standard loan kit, printed large-format drawing sets already produced, and third-party examination fees (when applicable and disclosed) are non-refundable once purchased on your behalf.
Deposits
Deposits secure a limited place. They are refundable in full when you cancel 21 or more days before the start date, or when we cancel the course. Inside 21 days the deposit is retained unless we agree a transfer.
Rescheduling
You may request one free transfer to a later cohort of the same course if you write to us at least 14 days before the start date and space exists. Further transfers may incur an administration fee of £75.
No-shows and work already started
Failure to attend without notice is treated as a late cancellation. Once studio or laboratory sessions have begun, fees for remaining days are not refunded, though materials not yet issued will not be charged.
How to request a refund
Email info@content-cedarfield.click with your full name, course title, start date, and reason. We confirm eligibility within five working days.
Processing time and method
Approved refunds are returned by the original payment method within fourteen working days of approval. Bank transfers may take longer depending on your bank. We do not issue cash refunds at reception.
Exceptions
We consider documented medical emergencies and bereavement individually and may offer credit toward a future course even when a cash refund is outside the standard timetable.
